Fleet Management Software
Autonomy Bridge · Analytical Definition
The software platform that monitors, coordinates, and optimizes the operation of a multi-robot fleet within a warehouse, including traffic management, task dispatch, and performance reporting.
Fleet management software provides the operational control layer for multi-robot warehouse deployments - tracking each robot’s position, status, and task assignment in real time, managing traffic routing to prevent congestion and deadlocks, dispatching new tasks based on priority and robot proximity, and generating performance analytics for fleet utilization and throughput. In large deployments, fleet management software is the primary variable determining whether a technically capable robot fleet operates at its design performance or below it. Congestion management algorithms, task batching logic, and exception escalation routing all live in this software layer. Integration between fleet management software and the WMS is the critical technical dependency: poor WMS integration produces task mismatches, inventory discrepancies, and throughput losses that appear as robot performance failures but are actually software coordination failures.
